During a webinar, the moderator of the webinar may give you the opportunity to use the chat function, ask questions or participate in surveys. If you make use of this, the entries you make will be processed in order to display and carry them along in the webinar.
Legal basis of the data processing
The processing of your personal data is based on your consent. This is required for your participation in webinars and/or for receiving information about RHI Magnesita products and services. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data by us is therefore Article 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
Categories of personal data we process
In particular, we process the following data disclosed by you: first name, last name, gender, business email address, job function, company name, country as well as webinar metadata, text (e.g. chat input) and product/service interest as applicable. This also covers data that is being added to you CRM record, for example, the date of provision of your consent or the date of attendance of a webinar.
Place of processing of data
Your personal data will be processed and stored in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System, which has its data centres located in the European Union (EU).
Data processing by Processors
Personal data processed in connection with your signup or contact request will only be disclosed to third parties if this is necessary for the implementation of the respective webinar or the provision of information about RHI Magnesita products and services.
To provide you with information about RHI Magnesita products and services, we use the services of ‘Microsoft’ as supplier and processor and – additionally, in the case of webinars – their product ‘Microsoft Teams’ as our means of communication.
Moreover, your personal data may be processed, at least in part, outside the EU and the EEA, namely in the United States of America. The appropriate level of protection derives from Standard Data Protection Clauses pursuant to Article 46 para. 2 lit. c and d GDPR.

Duration of data storage
We generally delete personal data when there is no need for further storage or if you ask us to. In the case of statutory retention obligations, the deletion takes place after the expiry of the respective retention period.

Generally, you are entitled to information, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates applicable data protection law or your rights under data protection law have been infringed in any other way, you may lodge a complaint with us or the data protection authority of your country of residence.
