Strengthened Partnership with Iraeta: Contract Extension and Performance Breakthrough

Iraeta Energy Equipment Co., Ltd., has renewed its EAF and ladle contract for an additional three years—a strong endorsement of RHI Magnesita’s technical performance. Since the project launch in July 2024, the team has achieved significant operational gains: Ladle life has increased from 60 to 110 heats, and EAF lifetime has extended from 400 to 600 heats. For special-steel production using 100% VD treatment, the filler sand free-open rate improved from approximately 80% to 98–99% through targeted process optimisation. These achievements position Iraeta as a 4PRO benchmark project in China’s steel sector and demonstrate customer confidence in RHI Magnesita’s reliability and value, even in a challenging market environment.
