Renata Pribila

Chief of Staff Europe, former Trainee

Please tell us a few words about yourself and your career path.

My name is Renata Pribila, and I am one of the first-generation Trainees that started at RHI Magnesita. I am a super organized and powerful person with a strong work ethic. With my combination of teamwork skills and personal drive, I am confident that I can make a positive impact in our company.

My RHI Magnesita career path includes a first rotation in Refractory Services, followed by a second assignment in Sales Steel Eastern Europe, and finally the third role as a Global HR Business Partner.

Why exactly did you apply?

I applied for this specific role because of my keen interest in the refractory industry and a great reputation of the company. Moreover, the company culture aligns with my work ethic, and I am eager to use my skills and contribute to the team effort. I am excited to be part of a company that values innovation and continuous improvement, and I am confident that this will provide me with the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally.

What is your current role and how does your day look like?

As the Chief of Staff, my workday typically involves collaborating with senior leaders to develop and implement strategic initiatives. I help streamline operations, manage communication, and ensure that all departments are working efficiently. Additionally, I assist in decision-making and problem-solving, provide guidance to teams, and oversee special projects. My role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a strong ability to manage complex tasks and drive results. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities, and I am passionate about delivering success.

What’s been your most exciting project to date?

My most exciting project so far has been the lead in the 2nd Generation Trainee Program where I was responsible for overseeing the entire process from start to finish. This involved developing the Program's objectives and content, organizing the assessment center, and providing ongoing guidance to trainees throughout the program. I collaborated with key stakeholders across the organization, including HR and department heads, to ensure a smooth implementation. The project was a big hit, with trainees reporting high levels of satisfaction and the company benefiting from the enhanced knowledge of our new talent.

What’s the most unexpected skill you’ve gained at RHI Magnesita?

One of the most unexpected operational skills I gained is the ability to analyze data and use it to make informed decisions. I learned how to collect and interpret data on product performance, customer needs, and production efficiency, which helped me identify areas for improvement and implement solutions. This skill not only helped me in my role but also allowed me to contribute to the overall success of the company.
