I am Stacy Fay, Administrative Assistant, RHI Magnesita York Refractories.

How does your day look like?

There are no two days that would look the same. The only stable thing is that it is always fun! I enjoy assisting employees with any kind of requests; this allows me to perform a wide range of tasks and I really like the challenge.

How did you get interested in this field?

My background is in the field of education. Being a teacher, I have acquired a lot of great skills and gained experiences. When I started looking for a new job, I understood that I would be a good fit for an Administrative Assistant position. I enjoy structure, discipline, planning, and of course, helping people. I am resilient and adaptable. So, this new field actually found me! 

What’s the best part about life at RHI Magnesita?

I get to work a lot with employees from different departments and levels… I know everyone, and everyone knows me 😊 I also interact with vendors, including from other countries, and it’s always an interesting experience.

But my favorite part is organizing employee engagement events. I get to know many great people as well as families of our employees.

Any advice to people who consider applying?

My recommendation is: don’t hesitate and apply! There are numerous opportunities to grow and learn in this company, both professionally and personally. There is always someone ready to support and help reach your goals.
