Record-Breaking EAF Lifetime Performance at TISCO

Building on the record-setting performance of the 160-tonne EAF and 100% market share at Taiyuan Iron & Steel (Group) Co.,Ltd., (China), RHI Magnesita has achieved another major milestone with the 90-tonne EAF, extending its lifetime from 272 to 412 heats—an increase of more than 50%. This outstanding improvement delivers higher steel output per campaign, fewer mid-cycle repairs, and lower maintenance costs for the customer. In recognition of these results, TISCO has issued dual commendations for both RHI Magnesita’s products and services. The project has also been submitted internally as a benchmark case for excellence evaluation, underscoring RHI Magnesita’s reputation for durable, high-performance refractory solutions that provide measurable value to steel producers.
