METEC is the largest international trade fair for metallurgy, steel casting, and steel production, frequented by 17.000 visitors. It only takes place every four years in Düsseldorf, Germany.
“When we talk about innovation, we mean a new level of refractory solutions. We call it ‘Refractory 4.0’,” said Stefan Borgas, CEO RHI Magnesita on the occasion of the company’s participation in METEC 2019 in June. “Innovation is the key to customer satisfaction. As the driving force of the industry, we must deliver better and better solutions to our customers and share the value with them. Our growing R&D investments reflect this!”
“All major stakeholders of our industry will be there. This is a unique opportunity to interact with customers and partners, discuss the trends and exhibit the latest technologies,” said Gustavo Franco, CSO RHI Magnesita. “This year we will not only participate, but we will also make the difference. The refractory industry needs to reposition itself and we are leading this process by driving mutual innovation together with our partners. We will give our customers and partners a taste of what is to come, and this continuous exchange is a motto of our innovative attitude.”
At METEC, RHI Magnesita did not only get the chance to portrait itself through a 644m2 booth as the leader of the refractory industry, it also offered the unique opportunity to meet international buyers, users, experts and decision makers from the metallurgy, heat technology and foundry industries.
A curved LED wall topping the booth made RHI Magnesita the “Times Square” of METEC and four interactive augmented reality screens lined up alongside the LED wall invited visitors to get to know the lifecycle of RHI Magnesita’s products from mining to customer-solutions – Refractory 4.0. The picture was completed by five interactive touch tables which provide interested parties with e-brochures of products and solutions.
RHI Magnesita presented its latest solutions ranging from smart mining to smart plant. This included the areas big data, digitalization, automation & robotics, process safety and sustainability.
