Although cement output in China has remained subdued due to ongoing adjustments in the construction and real estate sectors, RHI Magnesita has maintained its leading market position. The team has focused on expanding nonbasic refractory segments, reinforcing collaborations within the Chinese domestic 4PRO network, and enhancing master planning capabilities for OEMs and projects.

Across East Asia, the cement and lime sector continues to face challenges driven by policy constraints, economic downturn, and weak demand. In response, RHI Magnesita’s strategic focus is on adapting to market shifts and optimising the East Asia business model with 4PRO. A key Indonesian customer has already approved a 4PRO proposal, which is currently being implemented and will continue through 2026. The integrated one-stop solution will further boost RHI Magnesita’s market share in the nonbasic castable segment. Meanwhile, the team is actively exploring sustainability initiatives to scale up the refractory recycling in collaboration with customers.
